This is the coolest website! Well, if you love to read, that is! You can review the books you've read and have a list of ones you'd like to read. If anyone joins, add me as a friend so I can see what you've been reading!
Okay, I haven't shared a bargain shopping trip in a long time. I went to Albertson's today and got:
4 boxes cereal
1 box granola bars
7 pkgs yogurt
My total was $1.75. Not too shabby!!!
And yesterday I went to Vons and bought 20 (yes, that's right - twenty!) pkgs hot dogs and 5 boxes of Electrasol. I paid $15.70 but received a $20 coupon good for my next purchase! (And yes, we really will eat that many hot dogs!)
I really love bargain shopping and having such a stockpile of certain items. I recently got a two-year supply of laundry detergent for very little and am working on a good stockpile of dishwasher detergent. I've got more deoderant and toothpaste than I know what to do with! It's amazing how much we've saved since I've started couponing. It's a great hobby!
Okay, I admit that I am on the internet WAY too much. But there is such a wealth of information out there! Here are a few websites I've stumbled upon lately that were so great I just had to share:
She Does Hair - Oh my gosh I'm so glad I found this blog! It's all about little girls' hair. I am terrible when it comes to Cailyn's hair. I see so many girls with cute hairdos but it's something that has never come easy for me. This site has tons of pics and detailed instructions on how to create cute hairdos.
Sugar & Spice - This is a group of LDS moms who discuss everything from families, bargains, recipes and more. It looks like they even have a book club once a month -- right up my alley!
The Creative Homemaker - This site has great ideas for stay at home moms. She has some amazing chore charts & rewards systems that I want to try. I find Cailyn does really well with chore charts so I am really excited about getting ideas from this blog.
Freebies 4 Mom - Who knew there were so many freebies out there? Everything from free samples to free sweepstakes (which I'm not really into) to free magazine subscriptions. Check out the links for free Fisher Price DVDs. We've gotten 2 different ones so far and Cailyn loves them! Can't beat free!
Library Elf - This is great for anyone like me who ends up paying late fines for returning library books late! You can get an email and/or text message the day your books are due. Very cool.
Well, that's all for now. Hope someone finds this useful!
Ok, whose idea was it to have a boy?! Landon just gets busier and busier! He just figured out how to climb up into his high chair and couple days ago, so I guess it isn't any wonder he's now moved on to the table. What am I going to do with this child?!
Okay, I admit it -- I'm a pretty boring mom! So today I decided to do something out of the ordinary. We all got dressed up in "fancy" clothes and had ourselves a tea party. The kids loved it and it was nice to do something fun and different!
Landon had his first haircut by Daddy today. Colby really didn't want to do it as Landon is just so dang wiggly! But I forced him to do it and even though Landon was all over the place, Colby did a great job. Now my little boy is so handsome!!!
Before (long, wavy locks): During: After (cute & handsome):
We got a mini (and I mean mini!) pool for the kids and they have been having a blast with it. And Landon likes to be Mr. Strong Man and carry his little ride-on car. I swear the thing is as big as he is!!!
For the 4th of July this year we went to the Temecula Park to watch the fireworks. They had tons of inflatable slides and bouncers -- Cailyn was in heaven! The kids loved the fireworks show, even though Landon fell asleep half way through. How is it that kids are always able to sleep through those?!
