Chelsea, Aiden, & Sydney were visiting last week and we were having so much fun I forgot about my loyal fans (aka: Meagan!) and didn't keep up w/my blog. So sorry. :) We did lots of shopping, scrappy projects, duck pond, pumpkin patches, trunk or treat, Chuck E Cheese, parks, food, movies . . . the list goes on and on. I think we're all worn out from from a week of too much fun!

Petting Zoo
We went to our local pumpkin patch today, but because of the heat none of the rides were open. So the kids played in the petting zoo for a bit. Landon LOVED the animals! So different from Cailyn who was (is) always so scared of 'em. (Sorry about the lighting - our camera must have been on a weird setting.)
Also, Cailyn's friend from her kindergarten class was there and they were just so cute together.

Halloween Cookies
I love making fun/theme food for the holidays, especially Halloween. The kids and I made these itty bitty candy corn cookies. Here's the link: Candy Corn Cookies
Marie's Notes:
- Keep the dough chilled - it's easier to work with and holds the cookie shape better.
- Put the chocolate layer in the middle.
- Mine only took 4 minutes to cook. (But I like my sugar cookies nice n' soft!)

Why is it always head first with this kid???
This is Landon's new favorite way of going down the slide. The first time he did it he face planted into the grass. You would think that would've prevented him from doing it again. Nope, not this kid!

Santa vs. Daddy

Yesterday Cailyn came inside after playing on her swing and went on and on about how she needed a new swing. Her bucket swing apparently isn't very good for pumping and she wants one like the ones at school. So I told her she should ask Santa to bring her one for Christmas. Her reply? "No, I'll just ask Daddy. He listens better. Last time I asked Santa for a Tinkerbell polly pocket and he couldn't find one for me." :o) Apparently Daddy is cooler than Santa.
