The Dollar

What can a dollar buy these days? Well for two little kids it can buy a whole lot of happiness! My dad came over the other night and gave each of my kids a dollar bill. Cailyn woke up on Friday morning and was so excited cuz it was "buying day". We took the kids to the dollar store after school and Landon, of course, went straight for the cars. Cailyn was a little more careful in her choice but finally settled on one of those baby bottles that looks like the milk disappears when you tip it upside down. She thought that was the coolest thing ever! Thanks for making my kids' day, Dad! :)

Wiiiiii!!!

Yay, we finally got a Wii! Colby and I got it while Cailyn was at school and when she came home and saw it in the box she was so excited! So when Colby got home last night he set it up and she had so much fun with it. She was jumping all around, hootin' and hollerin' and since Landon does everything she does, so was he. Cailyn loves the boxing and is surprisingly good at it. She also loves to bowl and is excited when she gets a "strength" (strike).

Papa Would Be Proud

Landon got a fishing pole for Christmas and has finally figured out how to reel it in. And boy does he enjoy doing it! He kept bringing it to me to cast out so he could reel it in ... over ... and over ... and over ... and over!
And then I guess he got bored cuz I turned around to find him trying to do a handstand. Where does he learn these things?!

Interview With Cailyn

A friend on my scrapbook board gave me this idea. The idea is to have an interview with your kids each year and ask them the same questions. So this is how my interview with Cailyn went:

Drink? Milk, oh I mean chocolate milk

Restaurant? It has a playground ... and it’s McDonald’s cuz I love their hamburgers!

Animal? Clifford the Small Red Puppy (No, I didn't accidentally copy her favorite book twice.)

Thing to do at school? Doing some groups and stuff If you could change your name what would it be? Daddy calls me Fluffy sometimes so I pick that. What do you love about your family members? Landon: He’s silly when he puts his head on the ground and his bum up in the air. (She actually did a demonstration for that one.)
Mommy: Cuddling
Daddy: The same thing Where would you like to go on vacation? Disneyland & Disneyworld What are your wishes for this year? A Mulang Polly Pocket. That’s it? Yep. Who is your best friend? Allison & Trevor What do you want to be when you grow up? The President. Cuz that’s what we learned in school today.

A Typical Morning

A typical morning around here usually starts with poptarts & Blue's Clues. Cailyn always gets herself a poptart, and even though he usually only eats a few bites, Landon always begs for Cailyn to get him one, because he ALWAYS has to do everything she does. Then they plop themselves down to watch TV. (Notice Landon is trying to look around me at the TV as I take the pic!)

Lunch

I saw this done on a blog forever ago and finally got around to doing it. I used muffin tins and filled each cup with something different. Today I did applesauce, grapes, fishies, ham, cheese, and a brownie. The kids enjoyed the variety and I was surprised at how much they ate!

Straight Up & Round

Although she has beautiful curls, Cailyn has always longed for straight hair. So it's finally to the point where I can straighten (most) of it with the flat iron. She really does have pretty hair.


And then we come to Landon's hair. Colby tried to give him a haircut last night but he was just too darn wiggly and moved at the wrong moment. So the only way Colby could fix it was to buzz it all. :( Now his head looks so round and the poor kid can't play with his hair any more. (Trust me, that is a HUGE deal for him!)

Such a silly kid ...

I swear, Landon is just plain weird sometimes! He loves putting things on his head or around his neck.

I want a wii!!!

We went to my mom & dad's tonight for some yummy stuffed burgers and then we played the wii. It was so much fun!!! We got my mom & Colby to box each other and it was the funniest thing ever. I so wish I had a camera for that. (Although check with Emilee for a GREAT video of Mom hula hooping on the wii. :P ) But Mom was actually (surprisingly) good at it ... she annihilated Colby. I think we're all gonna be sore tomorrow but it sure was great entertainment!!!

Good Times

We've had quite a busy couple weeks! Cal, Buff, Chase, Kylie, and Dylan came out to visit and we had such a good time!
